“Michael's a sweetheart – he has enormous power, one of these people who's totally dedicated to what he's doing.  I certainly get enjoyment out of working with him.  He's great to rehearse with

– he's always got ideas and this incredible sense of humor and this kind of outlandish take on things.”

actor Morgan Freeman on Michael Wincott

Welcome to michaelwincott.org a site devoted to a talented and a remarkable artist who should not be overlooked by any fan of true acting. I personally wanted to thank him for making me cringe, cry and laugh.

Michael Wincott’s mastery of the craft shines through in even the simplest roles. Just one scene with Michael in it can make a film stand out in your mind sometimes despite the rest. He’s not purposely a scene stealer; he’s just in a finer class on a higher level than many of his peers.  It’s all about the mindset of the character. For Michael it seems like he creates his art from a well written story as his canvas and the many facets of a character are his palette knife. I don’t say brush because I get a definite Van Gogh impressionistic style from him; lots of texture, passionate strokes, but also some blurry edges.

THANK YOU MICHAEL!
